Our physicians are diplomats of the American Board of Internal Medicine with subspecialty board certification in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. We do not function as primary care providers.
RAY C. JOHNSON, MD, FCCP
BS - Stillman College, Tuscaloosa, AL; MD Meharry Medical College, Nashville; Interned at University of South Alabama Medical Center, Mobile, AL. Internal Medicine Residency at Brook Army Medical Center, San Antonio, TX. Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center, Denver, CO.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso, TX 1991-1993. Staff Pulmonary/Critical Care Dept. Partner in private practice and practicing at MTMC since July 1993. Served as Medical Director of MTMC ICU and Respiratory Therapy Quality of Care Committee at MTMC. Voted by Medical Staff as 2006 Physician of the Year.
FRANK B. LOUTHAN III, MD, FCCP
BS, magna cum laude, Vanderbilt University, MD, magna cum laude, University of Tennessee, Memphis College of Medicine. Internal Medicine residency including Chief Resident at UT, Memphis. Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at UT Memphis including Chief Fellow.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Partner in private practice and practicing at MTMC since July 1995. At MTMC, served as Medical Director of ICU and Respiratory Therapy; member of Quality of Care Committee; and voted by Medical Staff as 2006 Clinician of the Year.
RICHARD E. PARRISH, MD, FCCP
of The South, Sewanee, TN. MD, University of Tennessee, Memphis Hospital / VA Medical Center. Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
Partner in private practice from July 1984 to May 2005 at East Tennessee Pulmonary Associates, Oak Ridge, TN. Partner in private practice Middle Tennessee Center for Lung Disease, PC since May 2005.
OUR CARING AND COMPASSIONATE STAFF
The staff at Center for Lung Disease has many years of medical office and customer service experience. They include a registered respiratory therapist, and practice trained nursing assistants who are certified to perform digital chest xray. The staff will offer courteous assistance to you and your family and will provide appropriate and efficient care to the patients.
Sherry Richhas been with our practice since 2001, and has been practice manager since 2007. She brings over 29 years experience which includes health insurance claims and sales, medical practice billing and software training.

Receptionist - Renita Holt joined our practice in 2008 and brings many years of clerical experience to your service. Renita previously worked as an assistant in the school system.
Appointment / Billing Coordinators -
Frieda Street joined our practice in 2009. Frieda retired from AT&T with over 27 years customer service and project management experience. Danielle Hamlett joined our practice in 2010 and comes with over 9 years experience in medical practice service which includes billing, insurance and scheduling.

April Campbell joined our practice in 2008. She comes to us from a large multi-specialty group where she worked for 5 years in the call center then as a receptionist. April has completed her limited X-ray certification while at our practice and is trained to perform pulmonary function testing. Elizabeth Evans joined our practice in 2009. She previously served on the "Wings Global" mission ministry team and traveled abroad spreading the word of our Lord, Jesus Christ to those in third world countries. She is currently completing her certification in limited X-ray and is trained to perform pulmonary function testing. In addition, Elizabeth is working on her general studies at MTSU.
Misty Vaughn, LPN joined our practice in 2009. She brings over 15 years of medical office experience which includes receptionist, insurance billing, and medical practice manager. Misty is presently working on her RN at MTSU and is trained to perform pulmonary function testing.
Marvin Potter, RRT, RPFT - retired, joined our practice in 2005. Marvin retired from the VA Medical center in Memphis. He thoroughly trains our care coordinators in the administration of pulmonary function testing as well as performing the tests on our patients.
